Finca Bella Vista

We are currently staying with Matteo and Erica at Finca Bella Vista, their fully sustainable treehouse community in the Jungle. The tree-houses are connected by ziplines and the property has two rivers full of waterfalls and swimming holes.

This blog post was submitted via satellite internet connection from the jungle.

Our Jungalow

Last Tuesday, we finally made our escape from the US. We were only 3 months late! The views from our Jungalow's porch have proven themselves to be worth the wait.

We are also responsible for the garden behind our Jungalow. So far, we have done more damage than good, however, and may soon be asked to stop "helping".

Grounded

Ironically, the biggest snowstorm to hit the Chicago area in 30 years happened the morning we were supposed to fly out to Costa Rica. Our flight was canceled, and the earliest we could get was for 4 days later. This little mishap is just grooming us for others to come, as we see it.

Crying about these things will get you nowhere. You just have to enjoy making snow angels...

Migration

We are finally on our way. All of our personal belongings have been moved out of the New York Apartment, trucked to Chicago, and stored in my in-law's basement. Tomorrow, we fly to Costa Rica to spend some time relaxing in our "jungalow".
